While I'm waiting for delivery of the kit, I'm starting to clean and prepare my parts..."88 LX
Rear end - my rearend has a sway bar? between the lower arms. Do I need it? There is also a substantial block of iron bolted to the bottom of the diff. it's isolated by rubber dampers??. Is it necessary - I don't see it in any of the build pictures?
Pedal Box - This sure looks like a bit of work. I can see why we have the aftermarket products out there. Anyhoo, there are two switches on the clutch pivot. I know that one function is to ensure the clutch is disengaged when starting. What's the other one? I'm thinking of not using the disengagement switch.
Thanks,

dont been t he vibration dampner or the sway bar.......the grey switch with 2 plugs is the clutch saftey switch, both plugs are the same, you only use one of them....need it ........in my opinion.

You won't use the bar. The damper makes a good doorstop. The switch on the LH side of the pedal box is for the clutch safety and the one on the right is cruise control dump.

Thanks, I need a good doorstop. Wish the manual had a bit more specificity...

Another question - Do I need the transmission crossmember? I saved it but found that one of tubes that runs between the rubber pads on the end is totally rusted out.

Nope, the FFR Roadster comes with a removable transmission support member.

Joe, Looks like I'm late to the game and that you have the right answers. My opinion on the clutch safety switch is that if you are used to old cars, you don't need a switch to act as in interlock on the starter. Instead, I'm going to use those wires in my harness to tie to a hidden toggle switch to act as an anti-theft device. Just remember... insert ignition key, check that trans is in neutral, start engine.
Best of luck working through the prep on the donor parts. You're right about the FFR manual - it's really more like "guidelines." The pedal box isn't that bad, just take your time - especially if you're modifying the brake pedal length.
