Jeff,

believe it or not, the actual mix is a little lighter (not aged in appearance), it will show better in the pictures that Dan posts (sent to him this morning, but it is up to him to share or not). it is a 90% match to the original "fresh out of the mold" Gelcoat gray.......Really an easy mix as the gelcoat color is a known factor.......The only further item I'll share is that it really gives the car a more radical look.........

A HUGE thanks to Bill S for use of his shop for two days, and his patience for my first try at bodywork.

The flare contour came out just as I wanted, and the scoops are a fun addition. Bringing it home Monday to clean it up! with the new hood scoop, the flares now give it an even more distinctive look.

If you went to all that trouble of installing those flares and intake scopes, why not grind down those parting seams and blend in the primer a little farther?

That is not primer, that is gelcoat, the difference in appearance is due to the new vs sunbaked and aged gelcoat surfaces.

PS" The parting seams make the best place for masking off, gives it an almost purposeful look :D

Also, for those who know mw, part of my car's reputation is that I can't do bodywork on it or again anger the gods of track crashes, as last time (and body) I sanded down, the very next time out I had an "intimate " meeting with the guardrail at Watkins Glen.
