I'm about to pull the trigger on buying Visio so I can redraw the FFR electrical schematics to create a clean drawing reflecting my changes, adds, removals, integration of the EFI harness, etc. Before I start from scratch I thought I should ask here if anyone has a file already. I'm sure someone out there has done this already, but searches aren't surfacing anything.

If in AutoCAD It would need to re-saved to 2007 (yes 2007!) in order for Visio to import it and convert it. I can't use AutoCAD because I don't have the license or the skills, and it's pretty expensive. I can get Visio for a reasonable cost and I think it will do everything I need to do to recreate the schematics.

Thanks,

Pat

Hi Pat,

I use draw.io (https://www.drawio.com/) for my diagraming as it is free and has most of the features that Visio has. If you decide you want to try it let me know and I can share what I have done (a pdf is posted earlier my build thread https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?49519-Andrew-s-MK4-Roadster-Build-Thread-Apr-11-Update&p=578213&viewfull=1#post578213 ).

Best Regards, Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I recall your diagram. Printed it for reference. I'll check out drawio.

I will second the drawIO recommendation. I used it to create master power and grounding point schematics and then imported them into a PPT/PDF. It felt cheesy like I was making a presentation (because I was), but I also felt like that was the format that I wanted it preserved in. Eventually I will post it once it is tightened up.
