My car is built had transmission leak at rear seal or cap in yoke going into the transmission. No room to remove the drive line through the upper right space on the drivers side. So ended up taking the transmission yoke U joint apart. Unfortunately broke a cap on the cross piece when reassembling the U joint. Does anyone know the U joint part number for the 31S pline IRS 8.38 Driveshaft Factory Five provides with the kit for a 302 Ford Racing engine with. Tremec TKX transmission?????
I sealed the transmission yoke cap with JB Weld since that is a known leak spot and replaced the rear transmission seal.
I called Factory five and they did not know the U joints number and they did not want to share the info on their driveline supplier.
I measure the diameter of the u joint cap and the length of the cross piece as instructed by Spicer. It’s stamped Spicer P7. The P7 is not a part number. There about 10-15 U joints with the same dimensions as mine so without a part number it’s hard tell what to buy. Would the cap be the same height on all of the U joints if the cap diameter and the cross pieces were the same dimensions?
