I am aware of the options to fabricate radiator guards and screens as well as using Nomex.
Anyone using this with some feedback?

Personally, I really don't like the look of the grilles, but if I did and wanted one, I wouldn't spend $300+ on one. That looks like a fun, cheap Saturday afternoon in the shop, building my own on the cheap.

I agree... oh no, now I'll get called out for that too.

I bought the screens from Breeze for brake, oil, radiator. Don't thing I will use the rad one, I am happy with the honeycomb shield. I could probably sell you the one I got from Breeze for very low cost.

Considering the Rad has pretty much no protection from rocks it was an easy decision to install one. Secondarily I read some posts on how much fun it is to remove a damaged radiator (not).
Like Greg said above its a good Saturday project. I followed EdwardB's template and made my own, he explains it far better than I ever could. My installation was slightly different. Installed, it rests at a bit of an angle about 1.25" off the bottom of the Radiator and about 2" at the top Since these pictures I had it powder coated black pretty much disappears when looking at it from the front. Easier to install before the body is on or course, I'll do it that way next time... LOL. Jeff (Wpg)

I decided to go with Breeze grilles for all of the openings in the front a long time ago, not sure if he even sells them anymore. I had them powder coated flat black and have not had to many comments on the look, most people at cars and coffee that I have talked to didn’t even notice. I was originally looking for an aluminum sheet with hex type holes that would match the 65 Mustang grille, but couldn’t find anything.
The reason I went with the grilles, was because of a post by someone over 15 years ago, who lived east of Sacramento (a different site). He said he went on a drive on the back roads when he encountered a squirrel that ran into his lane and stopped. As he got closer, the squirrel didn’t move until it decided to charge his Roadster. Apparently at the last second it jumped and went straight into the opening and took out his radiator. What are the odds.
After reading and laughing at the post, I thought it might not hurt to have something there.
