Neighbor recently picked up a Unique slab side with a 408 in it. He has an oil cooler and remote oil filter setup. Keeps leaking oil and we can’t find the leak. Cinched all the AN fittings but still finds oil spray after driving.

I’m thinking he needs to loose the remote oil filter setup and install one of these. But, I can’t find anything other than for a Ford 5.0.
The 408 is based on a 351, correct? So, basically the same block.

Will this fit?

Thanks.

If it's a 302, use THIS ONE (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g4985-1/make/ford)

If it is a 351W use THIS ONE (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g4985-1/make/ford)

Yes, I did not make a mistake, both the 302/351W use the same adapter :D

As for billet vs others, that is your friends choice, me personally, I prefer the less is more approach, especially if I'm running into issues while at the track.

Thanks. But, the idea was to do away with a remote oil filter setup and mount it to the block. But, due to the frame location, it would need an adapter.

Mike,

Based on your response to my post, you want a Ford M-6880-B50 90 degree oil filter adapter.
