Today I was able finish up windshield and doors after mounting body a few days ago. Now after trying to mount sidepipes and opening body exhaust holes I found that the passenger side fits great but the driver side the header flange is up against the body. After double checking all my measurements the body is centered within 3/16 off the frame rails. But after measuring overall header distance I found the driver side is 1" longer than the passenger side.

Drivetrain is offset to the PS by about 1” which explains the difference

If that's the case then why does the passenger side flange have room to put bolts in and the flange is not hitting body and driver side flange is against the body?

Is the body centered correctly?

As I stated in my original post it's with 3/16 side to side. The only thing I can think that may have effected this is I had to push lower body in at front of driver door to get door to look right as suggested by people on this fourm.

What engine? You shouldn't have to do this, but you could take the collector to a welder and have him cut it and shorten. I always need to extend the passenger side.

Try measuring from the shock towers to the wheel well lip and see if it’s the same. I wouldn’t be measuring from a movable area of the body.

This is how I did measure and it's very close 3/16

After installing spash panels it moved body out 1" and made it look much better it also changed the clearance issue I had with the side pipes. Problem solved.

Might want to enlarge the openings a little for engine movement. Passenger side looks really close to the rear edge.
