Sorry to further the question but why will forte bracket not work? The MK4 and MK5 manual instructions are very similar. It does look like the bracket is different but not the mounting method. I found the Forte sliding bracket very helpful once installed. My windshield was on /off several times during MK4 build PLUS I did not have to worry about washers and tweaking the frame/cracking window.

The chassis and windshield mounts are not the same.

Maybe Forte will develop some the the 5. I absolutely love my quick release brackets on my MKIV.
