What box is the fuel filler neck supposed to be in? I cannot locate it. I'm talking about the steel filler neck that fits to the fuel tank. I've read thru the entire parts list and can't seem to locate it by description either.

I can't tell you what box since I don't know what kit you have but one of the first things I did after receiving my kit was to put my inventory sheets in a three ring binder. I have hunted down many parts using those pages over the last year. When I reviewed mine just now (for a coupe) I didn't see it listed as a separate item. I am guessing it was in the big box with the fuel tank?

Sorry, it's a Mk5 Roadster. While I don't have the 3 ring binder, I too have found several parts by liking through the parts lists. It was not in the box with the fuel tank.

Well he MADE his own binder. Did you do an inventory of all the boxes when you received them?

Yes, I understand he made his binder. And I did inventory all boxes, and it is not on my back order or missing parts list. I suppose I will have to go through each box again to see if I can find it.

My inventory sheets for my Coupe list Box 24 as "OEM FUEL TANK COMPONENTS" and the build manual shows this:

All of these items were in the fuel tank box along with the tank and straps.

For my Mk5 it was supposed to be in box 24, I'm still waiting on mine, as there were two part numbers set as missing 16360 and 14476, as there was no description for the missing part numbers I'm not sure which it is... I'm missing the retaining bracket as well.

I received my Box 24 later and as stated it just says OEM Fuel Tank Components with no parts breakdown.
In my box I received my tank straps which was missing and the tank and plastic cover.
I did not order my pump or sending unit from FF since I went aftermarket.
The gas cap parts are located in Box 4.
I did contact FF and told them I did not receive my fuel filler neck with my tank and it was added to the list, I'm guessing they're on backorder.
I've installed my tank and pump and sending unit so I'm just waiting on the filler neck.
I did get a Ford oem filler neck gasket from Breeze because I guess the provided ones can have leak issues.

See my post regarding getting the parts list to Excel for easy search. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?53034-A-tip-for-finding-and-identifying-build-Parts. My fuel filler neck was in box 24 for my MK5. OEM Fuel tank components. FYI. You don't really need the filler neck until just before you put the body on. You can just put some tape over the hole.

Well I'm certain I didn't get a fuel filler neck. It was not in box 24. As stated, there is no breakdown of parts which is why I did not catch it when I inventoried all of my parts. I'll contact FFR and add it to my back order list. Thanks for the help on this!

Pretty sure it's in the square box.

Your spreadsheet was an excellent resource, I used it on mine (had to change some things for the Canadian kits) but what a time saver, Thanks! The drawback on my inventory sheets from FFR was they listed box 24 as the following:

14472
OEM FUEL TANK COMPONENTS
BG0100

14472
OEM FUEL TANK

14472
OEM FUEL TANK PLASTIC COVER

16360
MISSING

14476
MISSING

So I have no idea what part numbers are what, I'm assuming one of the missing part numbers is the filler neck, from the Build school it was recommended you put the filler neck on before installing the tank as it saved on some contortions later. I'm still waiting on these as well as engine mounts, body mount brackets, battery holder J bolts, passenger side chrome roll bar, and a couple of pieces of the carpet - so all in all not too bad.
