I have mocked up my e-brake cables and my Metco safety loop. I am having problems with the cables rubbing on the safety loop - I have mocked up the cables underneath the frame (per Factory Five manual) and have also played with the "pulley" option where the cables are routed above the frame. Despite adjusting the loop front/rear and side/side as much as seems reasonable in regards to the driveshaft, I continue to have issues with the cables rubbing against the top right edge of the loop. Your ideas, thoughts, experiences, recommendations, PICTURES, etc.... are appreciated.

I don't have this driveshaft safety loop (yet) but I was looking at their website. When I look at this one pic of the installed loop it looks as though they had clearance issues as well - it appears that they are using fuel line or something similar to keep the cables off of the loop.

I installed a metco and did a pulley mod. didnt have an issue with clearance. Could have been where i placed the pulley. I also used this setup... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHYSQ1LY?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_ti tle_6

The pully helps, I would recommend that no matter what. You still get a little contact with the hoop but it's negligible. For me the cable doesn't get pulled often or aggressively enough to matter.

I used the Metco Driveshaft Hoop as well. I also routed my cables above the crosstube with a pulley. I modified the hoop mounting, using the two triangular supports. This allowed me to shift the hoop where I wanted it to allow the cables to clear.

I have a pulley mod on my build and needed to put some spacers under my loop to get clearance from the hoop

I built a new mount for the cable ends out of some scrap 1/4" aluminum to change angle of the brake cables such that they no longer rubbed. My cables are routed under the 4" tube, but a new mount should also work for the pulley routing.

Well the hoop doesn't move, and the cables only move when you set the parking brake, it's a moot point and not an issue.
