My driver's side door bulges out just a bit from the bottom right corner., which looks to be an oversight from the painter when he did the door alignment. I'd like to get it completely flush.
If I unbolt the body and pull it out just a bit, it becomes flush, which seems the right answer but it doesn't want to stay in that position. If I pull it out just enough where I want it and then reinstall the bottom screws to the frame, does that put any undue stress on the body itself? Or should I look to address with the door bolts instead?

That will be fine. Especially in Orlando, let the car sit in the sun for a day and I suspect it might even stay there if you loosened the screws.

You won't get it with the hinge adjustment only...door, body and hinge adjustments all have to play together. Push the rocker in as far as it will go straight down from the front of the door and secure it. Pull the rocker outward ahead of the rear wheel to make it flush with the rear lower edge of the door. You may find that the front lower edge of the door is now sunken in a bit and if so kick the bottom of it out a bit by adjusting the lower hinge point. Then you may have to adjust the rear body in or out again. See where I'm going? There's a whole dance of going back and forth because changing one thing affects another (sometimes two!). You'll get it, you just have to sneak up on it with small tweaks ;)

Thanks for that explanation Jeff. The rocker at the front is as far in as it will go and is secured. That is pretty flush to the door at the front. I can pull out the rear a bit that will set everything flush with the door in the rear, but it won't stay there without securing with the bottom screw. As Craig eluded to, when secured, will that just conform over time and not stress the panel or paint?

I have to pull it out and secure it on every single one. No issues.

Awesome! That should solve the issue. Thanks again for the help!
