Ok, what is everyone doing on the MK5 with the carbon dash and using the self cancelling turn signal suppied by Factory Five? Just wondering about cutting the dash for the turn signal stock. The little template they supply for locating the stock seems to be useless, unless I am over thinking it! I can't find it mentioned anywhere.

I did a vinyl dash. I didn't think I could get a nice round hole for the turn signal stalk opening, so my neighbor volunteered to 3D print a collar for the boss and then extended it out using the dimensions from the little FFR template that seems to make no sense because it doesn't fit over the steering wheel shaft. To figure out where to cut the hole, we used the 3D-printed part to measure the distance from the shaft, then measured up from the bottom of the dash to the center of the turn signal stalk mounting point to determine the distance up and down. I used Jeff Kleiner's method to install a stud in the turn signal shaft. Without the 3D printed part, I would have tried to enlarge the hole on the template so that if fit over the shaft.
