I purchased my first MKIV back in 2016. Not knowing much about anything and being penny wise and pound foolish i went with a used 1997 Mustang cobra 4.6 and used a transmission. I had great time putting it together and I figured once I got it running, I would get the engine professionally tuned and cleaned up. The end result was I wound up throwing it out and purchasing a Gen 3 Coyote and a TKO 500 transmission from Mike Forte and the rest was history. I still have the car and will most likely sell it down the road when the new MK5 is much closer to being finished.

The reason for car number 2 is twofold. First, like most of us I really enjoyed the build and the process. Second, I'm 6'2" and even with the kirkey low back seats I would still like some more leg room. Hence, the new MK5 will give me just that. Also, my MKIV had a three link and I wanted to try a car with IRS. When I saw the sale at the end of the year it pushed me over the edge and I jumped on it. My completion date was March 7th so now I'm just waiting for Cunningham Transport to let me know when my delivery date will be.

The options that I am going with are.

Complete MK5 kit
Coyote GEN 4 with TKX from Mike Forte
FF coyote headers with CATS
IRS from Factory Five
Power Steering with leather steering wheel
Vintage gauges
Black vinyl seats but I plan on recovering them
Wilwood Big brakes all around
FF Sunburst wheels, I got them on sale at the end of the year
Blank aluminum dash
Front and rear sway bars
Roadster wiper kit
Heated seats
After market heater and defroster
Body cut outs etc..

Attached are few pictures of my MKIV. It has a single hoop roll bar that was made by Breeze automotive. The color is Byron blue which is a Range Rover color with a ghost stripe. I plan on going with a much darker metallic blue and some sort of ghost stripe again.
