Hello All,

I recently read a post from another site that recommends swapping the right and left spindles so that the calipers are mounted on the front of the spindle facing rear. Has anyone done this and is this the recommended orientation or should I stick with the manual?

Thanks,
Mike

You cannot do this on the new IRS. If you're talking about straight axle. then base your brake location on interference with the shocks. I don't see any good reason to stray from the manual.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have IRS. Thank you for your advice.

And if you're talking about caliper orientation in general (not necessarily about interference with anything), in practice, it makes virtually no difference how it's oriented, so long as you have your bleed screws facing up.

In other words, 9-o'clock, 12-o'clock, 3-o'clock...has no impact on braking.
