How are you guys running and routing your lower radiator hose? I have a gen1/2 with a 302 and the lower hose running through the frame x-brace front end, but its rubbing and has wore a flat spot in the corrugated line. I put some material inbetween the line and frame for now but wanting to see what others are doing with their set up. I do have power steering so that cuts down a little on the room. Thanks for any help. 227072227073

Your pictures are not showing up so it’s hard to see your issue. Breeze makes a hose holder that screws to the frame or x-bracelet to stop the hose from moving. Made all the difference for me on my M4.

Pictures seem to be an issue with this site right now. I tried to post a pic but will not attach. Adding to what brewha said I used the full Breeze kit with a nice lower pipe and the hose holder. Tough to do without as you found. I do not like the corrugated hose.

I have a Gen I coupe that I built 20 years ago, and I used the flexible metal pipe supplied by FFR. I have the similar setup -- 302 engine. I routed the pipe the same way you did and I have about 1/2-inch of clearance from the frame. The rubber collars for the pipe are big enough that you have some flexibility as to the overall length of the pipe, so that if you press it in far enough, it is possible that you can shorten it enough to give you clearance.

Same here as Waterman on my MK3.1. Breeze lower hose that runs below the cross member and not through it. The hose is a formed aluminum piece.

Hopefully the pictures are working now. I should have clarified its for the type 65 coupe. I'll take a look on breeze's website but would it work for the coupe also? Thanks for the replies.

I put together a lower hose for my gen 1 using an upper hose from a Ford truck with a 7.3 diesel. I had to cut it in one spot to twist it but, otherwise, it’s a perfect fit!
