Hoping to put up an actual searchable, findable, post for others. So we’re clear, our kits come with PBR brake calipers for the front which are “high-performance, lightweight aluminum 2-piston sliding calipers from Australia, commonly used as OEM upgrades for
1994–2004 Ford Mustangs and C5/C6 Corvettes.
and the 87-88 T-bird calipers for the rear correct? OR 87-93 Ford Mustang 5.0 (not sure why we bother with the T-Bird stuff?)

The reason I say this is because there are lots of search results out there and when I tried to order front pads I ended up with Cobra pads!

EBC Yellow stuff Front Brake pad for Factory five 289 Cobra= DP41242R
Looks like this:
226931
EBC Yellow stuff Rear Brake pad for Factory Five 289 Cobra = DP41172R
Looks like this:
226932

That's my understanding as well. I also did a cross-reference on the Wagner pads that came with the kit (which I'm in the process of replacing based on reviews) and they matched the 94-04 Mustang front and 87-88 T-Bird rear brakes. I also did a callout on the forum a few months back and got the same info. So I believe you're correct.

It's interesting - when I did the cross-reference on the rear pads I also came up with '93 Mustang Cobra SVT as a match, but not 5.0 in general. Not sure why, but it does make me wonder why they mention T-Bird when everything seems to fit one Mustang or another ;)

The reason for not seeing anything on the 87-93 Fox body GT or LX is that as far I can remember it never came with rear disc brakes, only drums. I’ve read that a lot of Ford guys will update to the 87-88 TBird rear brakes as a mod. The only Fox Mustangs that came with rear disc brakes were the 84-86 SVO and the 93 SVT and they were not the same rear brake calipers.
The 93 SVT used the 87-88 TB turbo rear brakes. One of the problems that always seems to come up is that these rear calipers look the same as the ones off of the 89-92 TB SC. The casting are the same, but the emergency brake lever assembly is different. Meaning that the 87-88 and 93 rear calipers use the emergency brake cable (stranded cable center part) to engage the E-brake mechanism, while in the 89-92 TB SC & V8 models use the e-brake outer housing/sheath to engage the e-brake mechanism, yes it’s kind of weird.
But in all of these adaptions of the calipers, whether in a TB, 93 SVT Cobra, Lincoln MKVII 91-92 and Taurus SHO, they all used the same pads. They are based on FMSI D0347, which is a standard for manufacturers to use when making and selling replacement pads. According to an old catalog that Hawk used to put out, it also included FMSI D545.
My MK3 is using rear brake calipers from a 92 TB SC, with a Hawk pad number of HB580x627. The specs on the Hawk pad is almost identical to what you have from EBC, other than it’s different by 1mm in all the dimensional specs.

Hope this helps a little in building your database.

LOL - I can't believe I forgot that. I haven't had a Fox body Mustang in a very long time, and I now recall looking in the SVO parts catalog to see how much it would cost to upgrade to rear disc brakes.
