We've been working on the selective email issue occurring on the site where gmail, yahoo and a few other domains were not receiving email. It looks like the issue is resolved! I was able to send several emails to my gmail account. The first went to junk, but after approving it, subsequent emails went to my gmail inbox.

So if you have been having issues with subscribing to a thread, or sending thread links to your email account you should start receiving those emails now.

It's been a long time coming, but I think this issue is resolved. Chime in with results if you test this issue out on your own.

We very recently migrated to new hardware and this issue has resurfaced. Working on it now (again)...

David, thanks for working on this. I just went back to my yahoo email. Hopefully I get notifications now.

I wasn't affected by the email outage before. But now looks like I am... :( Thanks for your work on this and overall support of the forum.

yahoo emails are still working fine for me. Notifications had stopped many months ago but they seem to be working fine now. Perhaps certain server hosts have email domain block lists ?

OK gang, I made a DNS change to match the new server and GMail emails are flowing again, although mine were routed into GMail's "Promotions" folder. Once you indicate it belongs in the inbox then future mail is routed there. FYI for the GMail folks.
