Hey guys,

I hope it's ok to post this here.

I'm putting on a car show to celebrate America's 250th birthday. It's happening in Kerrville TX (the location of those terrible floods last year). The idea is to have 250 American made cars lined up in chronological order so guests can see the evolution of the American automobile. We are having it on May 16th and I'd like to invite anyone interested. We are looking for ANY American branded car/ truck or SUV. This is not a normal car show as there are no trophies, judging or anything like that, just a community event for folks to come enjoy some cars from the past.

It's $50 to sign up and the money is just to cover the cost of the event. Any money we have left over will go to the local Chamber of Commerce's scholarship fund. Oh, you get a T-shirt and a swag bag with each entry.

I know most car guys have more than one car, so I figured I put it out there for everyone. I'd love to see some "less than common" cars. I'll enter my MK3 roadster and I think there are a couple of other Cobra guys that have expressed interest. I'm sure we will have plenty of Mustangs, Corvettes, and GTO's but, Got a Chrysler Le Baron, or a Vega? How about a K- car (can't imagine anyone still has one of those!) This is really sort of a mix between a car show and a museum exhibition. Cars don't need to be in showroom condition, just nice enough to show without being embarrassed.

This will be the first big event in the park since the flood. We just opened the park about a month or so ago and people are starting to go back there, but there are still lots of bad memories. I'd like to help make some new good memories there and this is my idea for that.

Any questions you can email me directly at contact@kerr250.com

Thanks.

Doug

Does it bother you that the AC Cobra was a British car with an American engine?
