So, I'm assembling my front brakes. When I attempt to mount the calipers they don't open far enough to accept the Disc. I measure my disc thickness at 25.57mm and my pad distance fully open at 21.96mm. Is there some trick that I'm not aware of to get the calipers on.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Pistons fully retracted?

I believe that it is fully retracted unless I put a C clamp on it, it may retract more, but I thought it would be wise to ask here so I don't damage anything.

Often need a C clamp to retract them. If you're using the FFR standard twin piston PBR calipers you have to push them both in together.

I do have the standard brakes. Thanks Jeff, I'll give it a try.

Jeff,
Thanks for the advice, that did the trick. I used to use a C-clamp to retract the pistons back in the 1970's when I worked on cars, but wasn't sure if that was still common practice.
