Hello
I am setting the pinion angle and my understanding is you want the two ends of the drive shaft yokes to be parallel with one another. The rear end yoke is higher that the tailshaft of the transmission so the incline of the driveshaft is angled upward toward the rear end. Is there a spec for what the angle of the driveshaft? Thanks

The angle of the shaft really isn't a concern

OK that is what I was wondering. Is there anytime we need to shime up the transmission to make it more level?

Yes 3/4" to 1" trans shim is quite common.

I can see how you would need a trans shim as I am at the end of the thread on the adjustment rod.Where do you get these shims or just use washers?
Set your motor and tranny angle, us a degree gauge and and make the diff the same degree as the tranny, measure tranny out put and ujoint yoke on diff. Adjust diff as needed.

Trans mount shims will have a minor effect on trans angle. They are much more effective on the driveshaft angle. At normal ride height I like to see the trans 0 to 3/8" higher than the diff. This way, as the diff travels through it's range over bumps, the drive shaft angles up in bump and down in droop about the same amount.
