It was 20 some degrees when I left home last Sunday so I put the helmet on for the 40 mile drive to the venue. Not bad. My buddy Joel is consistently one of the region's fastest 3 drivers so when I learned that his JCW Mini was in the shop I offered to let him co-drive. We had a blast!

We had to go in the first run group so the temp was below 40 degrees the whole time. I was surprised how much lateral grip the XS had in the cold but under braking was a different story---I went into the weeds at the end of the fastest straightaway on my first run :p

In the end after we had both done our 6 runs I had him by .6 second on a 50 second course but I'd bet with a little more seat time he'd kick my butt!

Sure was good to get the juices flowing again! Next one is March 25 :)

Jeff, looks like you had some fun, cold but fun :-)

That first pic of your car looks great, though it looks like you are running a ton of camber!!

-2 degrees, although with the wheels turned just a bit the gain does make it look like even more.
