Does anyone perform a tranny swapout without removing the engine? Looking for someone to perform this task in NY/CT/MASS area. Thanks, Gary

There is no need to remove the engine. The 4" cross member keeps you from dropping it straight out but if you remove the driveshaft, you can back out the tranny, take off the bell housing and it "tips" out. I've done it BUT you have to find a shop willing to. Going to have to be a private garage I suspect.
