So I thought it time to actually start a build thread - as I get further into this, I can see the value. At this point, I have the suspension, brakes system, fuel system, differential, steering, systems largely complete. The other night I got the engine/transmission installed (package was sourced from FF-AT).
I’ve been reading about driveshaft angles and such, and once I get proper spacers, etc for the transmission, the vertical angles should work out.
However, I do see a slight lateral angle. This angle is with the transmission mount holes lining up to the mounting plate. Being lateral, it’s a bit harder to measure, but here’s a pic. Advice/thoughts appreciated.

You have IRS. That angle is not an issue. With live axle the pumpkin moves up and down with the suspension. With IRS that doesn’t factor into it.

Good news! It’s a build thread (thus the title) - so it’ll be full of stuff that sounds repetitive but has its own nuance!
More to come!

Okay a couple updates, and then a question (or multiple… we’ll see how it goes.
Engine went in fine - and am tidying up the Tx mount but I’m still waiting on parts from FF to complete that… so the aluminum installation has been on hold a couple weeks. I already have the holes drilled and aluminum powder coated, so should go ‘relatively’ quickly once I get the mounts squared away.
In the meantime, installed the battery, one header (driver), power to starter, and the radiator. I’m missing some mounts for the condenser so that’s on hold as well.

Okay, a bit of progress today, got some of the radiator hoses prepped, connected some fittings and mocked up the intake.
Thanks!
