Hey Builders,

I've got a MkIV Roadster with a trunk gas strut kit and I stored the trunk struts with the hood struts  Now, I'd like to mock it up ... D'Oh!!

One set is about 20" free length and has an indicated 20 lbs pressure force.

The other set is about 17" free length with an indicated 28 lbs pressure force.

Which set is for the hood? Thanks!

Longer ones are for the hood.

Reverse them and the trunk will hit you on the head:cool:

When I built mine yrs. ago, I made mine all the same so I didn't have to worry about it. Yes, it was well before F5 had pressurized struts.

Thanks for the replies! Since they're easy to swap out, this wasn't a big deal, but I wanted to be sure...
