I have an issue that's a little tricky to explain, and it's hard to get a good picture of the issue but here goes.

I have the black steering wheel from FFR.

I have installed the steering wheel hub, and now the wheel with the 6 Phillips screws. Now, when I go to insert the center cap with the o-ring from FFR it won't go into the hole. The issue appears to be that there's a misalignment between the middle wheel opening and the machined hole in the hub. In other words, the two holes in the wheel and the hub do not have the exact same center creating a small offset "lip" that the o-ring hangs on and I can't get the cap on.

Make sense? Anyone else had to deal with this? Is there a trick to get this fixed? Thanks!

Drill a small hole inside the hub so the air can escape.

Drill a small hole above the oring to let the air out.

Mine has a small hole in the center of the cap from the factory. I'll double check this when I get home.

My issue seems to be the lip created by the misalignment.

It is a tight fit. I had to use some plumbers silicone greese on the o-ring to get it to slide in.

I had that exact issue on final assembly. What worked for me was to loosen the six Phillips head screws so that the wheel could move ever so slightly, and then the center cap slipped right in. Tighten the screws & you're set!

Feel inside the opening and make sure the wheel is centered on the hole in the hub. If its off loosen the wheel and re center.
