Hey guys. Connecting the two harnesses together when getting to the ignition and starter request my wires are labeled “Toggle” and “SMR”. Those are the correct wires I’m assuming?

Also can I get rid of the other non used wires shift up, shift down and some other dark blue wire labeled “SIGRTN” or are they needed? Thanks!

Have you checked out the FFR Coyote instructions? They should cover that:

Thanks! Yes I did. They say to use different labeled wires. I am almost 100% sure they are the same but wanted to verify before I go soldering if anyone else on here ran into the same.

That SIGRTN Wire is an important one. It runs trait to the negative post on the battery. It is the true ground reference for the ECU. The shift up and shift downs are not needed/not used.

Thank you! I was wondering where the ground wire was. Nowhere in coyote install instructions or control pack instructions does it say that.

I suppose this is personal preference, and I'll probably start a storm here, but do you really want to solder these connections? My recommendation would be to use weatherpack connectors (or similar). I don't know anyone who soldered connections like this. IMHO you're better off with a connector than a soldered joint. They're easier to deal with down the road should you need to modify anything.

Agree, I don't like solder joints

I am using some heat shrink solder connectors. Pretty nifty stuff that we used in Mercedes Benz all the time when I worked for them. But I agree nothing wrong with simple butt connectors.
