Evening guys,

I know this is really old news for some of you, but for guys like me who are just getting started with their roadster builds I wanted to share how great the products are that I got from Bill at FFMetal. I previously ordered his .060" trans tunnel top and .090" firewall, and I just got his battery box. Wow, what nice pieces! I was especially impressed with his battery box - it's a work of art. I won't get around to using his trans tunnel top for a bit, but I already fitted the firewall and set it up for my heater/defroster. Just first-class metal work and the firewall is just so much more robust than the FF piece - I know I won't get any flexing when I install Mike Forte's throttle linkage.

Speaking of Forte, the other vendors on this site have been equally impressive. I especially like the well-written, detailed instructions that Mike from Breeze provides with his parts. I just received my turn signal and lighting control kit and switch from Microflex Labs, and they look impressive with great documentation. And while it will be a while until I install my side pipes, the guys from Tubular Automotive (Boig) were great to deal with and their upgraded side pipes look great.

So... if you're in the position to spend some extra $$$ on your build the vendors supporting our projects have some fantastic stuff!!!

I have FFMETAL trans tunnel top and firewall forward for my MK4 and am very happy with them. Bill lives very close to me and came to my place a couple of times during my Mk4 build to measure for his battery box.

I'll second and third all of the above. I received items from Forte, Breeze and FFMetal on my build and they were all quality products...and great people to work with. Highly recommended and they make up an important part of the FFR community.

I've purchased from Breeze and Snakebite Motorsports so far myself for my build.
I agree the vendors here have been great to deal with and the pieces are top quality that I've received.
I haven't made a purchase yet from Forte but I've got a list !
If you've ever talked to Mike on the phone you can just tell he's a genuine gear head and good guy.

Mike's a great guy, he put together my engine and I have been on the phone a few times, he knows his stuff, and he's willing to share

I was on the fence about getting the Firewall Forward Kit from FFMetal, after reading this I placed the order and am so glad that I did. What a nice sturdy product. Question, to anyone who has used the Firewall Forward Kit; it looks like the firewall can be adjusted to move forward anywhere from 1-1/2" to 2-1/2". I will be installing the wipers and heater/defroster kits, any recommendations on how far forward I should move the Firewall? Will I run into problems downstream if I push it out the full 2-1/2"?

Always appreciate everyone's advice.
