I finished my Roadster last summer - what a joy to drive! But… the latch belts are difficult for my wife & kids to use.

I’ve looked through several threads about camlock belts, but most threads & posts are now a few years old.

I’m looking for recent recommendations for camlock harnesses - any highly recommended (or not recommended!). Any input or experiences on the 2” dogbone should belts?

Thanks!

I’ve had Schroth belts in my track cars for years. Very easy to get in and out of. I decided to install seatbelts in my roadster. They are horizontally mounted made for a Triumph. It was an easy install.

Check with your local SCCA region, maybe their Facebook page and ask for anyone selling outdated cam lock harnesses. Normally they are in excellent condition, but just five years old and no longer legal for road racing. Some harnesses (FIA) may time out after 2 years. Excellent race quality belts for much less than new.

I bought a pair of cam lock harnesses this week from Speedway. They were 25% off.

I bought a pair of these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/gfr-7000bk & installed them this summer. I really like the cam release better than the latch release.
