I started working on the pro – M hanger and new fuel pump as suggested by many builders, but the filter sock on the bottom, no matter how much I press or line it up just does not seem to go on. It seems like a rather easy thing to put on, but at this point, I’m starting to think about bending the tabs on the inside a little bit and or sanding the rim of the fuel pump intake to allow this to slide on. Before I go down that path are there any suggestions from anyone else if you’ve had the same issue? Thanks!

The orientation of the filter is important, so be sure you know how it will sit in the baffle in the tank. As far as getting it to attach, I put the filter on a hard surface and push the pump into the filter.

Orientation I’m good with. It’s just pushing it in. I feel like I’m going to push it through the table haha.
You could put a very slight bevel on the end of the pump. Once you get it to go past the initial sticking point, it should go the rest of the way easily.

I remember I had to bend the tabs a bit for it to fit.

Well, I appreciate it as always guys! A little bit of the lean suggestion from Papa and a very slight bend in one of the tabs just to clear the edge and it snapped right in!
