I am trying to install the E brake kit for the Willwood big brakes. Does anyone have pics of how they did theirs.

Are you talking about the Wilwood electronic park brake? If so, the calipers need to be swapped left to right, or they hit the springs. For the wiring, I ran it up the inside of the trans tunnel, then into the engine bay, across the front of the firewall with some other wiring (just to take up the extra wiring), then into the cockpit on the passenger side, where my ProFlo4 wiring passed through. I put the button for it on the dash, by the ignition.

Greg, I was looking for how the Universal parking brake cable kit was run. I have 12" rotors on back and I had to use the Wilwood kit. 330-9371
But I was looking at the Electric Parking brake from wilwood. Do you have pictures of the swapped rotors and the electric brake installed. I contacted them today and they gave me the name of Todd @ TCE Performance Products who had the brackets to install the kit to my rear brakes. I can't see it have the room on my setup. The swapped caliper got my attention.
Thanks, Ernie

One of Greg’s previous posts is what convinced me to go the route of the willwood EPB. 2 things that I chose to do…I put the control module in the rear and ran the signal wires to the front. Also at the calipers (after you reverse them) I found it beneficial to secure the wires to the plugs with a simple sip tie to ensure they do not get too close to the springs.

The Wilwood EPB kit I bought for my Coupe build came with backing plates that will allow you to index the calipers pretty much anywhere you need to when using a solid axle. This is what the backing plates look like.

Since I didn't use them on my IRS installation, I'll make you a great deal on the pair if you are interested.

Thats interesting, because I called Wilwood today and they told me to call TCE Products as they have the mounting brackets for the E brake.
If anyone has a pic of the swapped calipers, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,

What calipers are you trying to install, and what rear end and brake kit do you have? Here is a picture of my rear brakes with the IRS kit and the swapped electric park brake calipers.

For me, the swap was a direct bolt on replacement of the mechanical e-brake calipers.

I did as GBranham did on his car and ordered the electronic kit from Summit.
I verified by email with Wilwood I was ordering the correct kit.

As Greg said it bolts right up by just swapping the calipers form one side.
My build is a MK5 with IRS.

Thanks,

Your signature does not give specifics on your build other than your engine and trans. Are you running a solid axle? All the responses are for IRS. As with all these, my Wilwood IRS EPB bolted right on in place of the original manual cable e-brake other than swapping the calipers from left to right so the electric solenoid would clear the spring.

Yes, mine has the solid axle! The pics of the IRS looks clean.

Yeah, thought so. My first build was solid axle and brakes while 12.88 have different mounts particularly with the ebrake than on the IRS. I can see why Wilwood would push towards a different mount. If it were me, I'd get ahold of Michael Everson as he is an authorized Wilwood dealer and know these cars inside and out. He'll make sure to get you set straight.
