I've been running Vorte c Iron heads on my 383 for several years now. Finally got agead enough to score a set of AFR 210 Heads. I decided to keep my Comp Hydraulic Roller Cam which is a 0.520/0.540 lift cam with a 110 LSA. Rationale was the torque curve caomes in later with the new heads than with the truck (Vortec) heads. Also kept my Sniper. Really only changes were going toa an air gap intake and the heads themselves. I used 1.5/1.6 mixed roller rockers on the install. She barks like an angry dog now.

Sounds Great!

I too am running the same (Comp 288 HR) in my Cobra and the Dark Side MK-4 runs great.
Running the dual plane intake will really give you great bottom end torque & shred tires.
Should you need to move that curve up, then go to a Weiand Team-G 7530 or Victor Jr.
You likely be making at least 465 HP and 465 Torque so enjoy the ride & good luck.

If you want to do a side exhaust, then the Schoenfield #1346 series & 1347 headers can be adapted to work.
