Georgia on my mind (Cruise to Georgia in August)

The Georgia Cobra club has there August cruise from 8/6 to 8/9/26. Several of us from the Boston area are planning to go. Not just go but drive our Cobras. Anyone wanting to trailer their car is welcome as well. Here’s what we have so far. We will leave from the Mass Pike rest stop in Westboro Tuesday morning at 8:30. That day is the marathon run (all highway) to Front Royal VA. Wednesday we hit the road early (6-7am?) and jump on the Skyline Drive for 100 miles or so. The early start will give us some miles with light traffic, as there are almost no passing zones. Then back on RT 64 for the afternoon. Wednesday night will be in Abingdon, VA Then Thursday morning we’ll head to the cruise hotel by way of Tail of the Dragon. Our hope is to arrive early enough to rest and recharge a bit. Friday-Saturday cruising with the Georgia crowd. By Sunday everyone will be itching to be home so an 8 hour day to Winchester VA then home on Monday.
