Hey guys,
I had to take all the stuff off the front of the engine to resolve a coolant leak, and have now pretty much reassembled everything. I’m about to reinstall the mounting brackets for the alternator and A/C compressor, both of which use the big accessory mount bolt holes on the front end of the heads. The engine is a Ford Racing X302, which has aluminum heads. Anybody know what these bolts should be torqued to? Being aluminum, I don’t want to over-torque them. The engine manual doesn’t say, and can’t seem to find any info online about these particular holes.

Thx,
John

Hand tight is all they need. No reason to be over torqued

General torque specs for the Z2 heads are at the end of this instruction sheet: https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FORDINSTSHTM-6049-Z2.PDF

That's for head bolt's, NOT the accessory drive bolts.

Ah, cmon, Rich. Those accessory bolt holes can take 55 ft-lbs. Hah!
