I have over 800 miles on the car so I decided to check underneath to make sure there were no surprises. I found one! The rims are rubbing on the anti-sway bar. It happens on full extension so I think it’s happening at low speed when I’m in and out of the garage.

I saw a thread that said to use these from Breeze.

Will these work with my power steering rack? Simple as remove dust boot and place them?

Your link doesn't work but memory says, yes, as simple as that.

Clearance the end of the bar.

Do you mean grind the sway bar?

Is this a problem with the MkIV and a power rack? Or just limited to the MkV?

No idea I saw some threads on the mark IV but it talked about hitting aluminum panels.

Rack has nothing to do with it.

That was the elegant solution

Say what? If it only hits at full lock and you reduce the rack travel a bit, that should fix it. OTOH, grinding a little off the bar may fix it too.

I did a bit of investigating and noticed the sway bar was no longer centered. I am 90% sure it was before. I re-centered it and there is now minimal clearance on both rims. I don’t see a way to lock the bar. So I marked it with a grease pen and I’ll keep an eye on it. I also noticed the heim joint was making contact so that would need to be ground as well. I’m thinking limiting the travel may be the safest option. I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the advice.

Rick,
Split shaft collars to be clamped on the bar to limit thrust:
