Holley Sniper2

MK4 build, Blueprint 347 with Sniper2. The Holley 6 pin I/O harness has a grey output wire for aftermarket tach. Vintage Gauge info says use coil (-) or ECU tach out. I'm thinking about connecting the dash tach to the tach out I/O harness wire. I understand that the Sniper gets its RPM from coil (-) so it's essentially the same, but I'm thinking if the Sniper electronics ever have a problem processing that coil (-) into rpm, I'll see it on the dash tach if it's fed from the Sniper tach out. Am I over-thinking this, or is it a good idea?

Pat,
I used the grey wire from the Sniper 2 harness and connected it to the purple tach wire of the supplied Ron Francis wiring harness. Works great.
