This is a pretty mundane question but I am curious what others are using for lug nuts. I received my wheels today and realized I don't have any so after a quick search I see there are lots of options. Any feedback would be appreciated.

What wheels are you using?

Sharp looking wheels!

You're probably looking at a spline drive lug nut. Not sure what size studs are on the Coupe, but here's a set for 14x1.5 (2015+ Mustang, which I used on my Mach1 track wheels) - check the OD! 23mm on these.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Off the top of my head I thought the studs on the coupe (which I think are the same on the roadster) were 1/2" but maybe I'm wrong?

Thanks Jeff! Is there a certain length of lug I need or just standard closed end?

My guess is you should measure and get a lug nut that matches exactly what you need. Stud length past the rotor, hole diameter for the lug nut & socket, and thickness of the hub space of wheels. Front to back may be different, as companies like Forgestar don't build the wheels typically as sets for a particular car but focus on size options. My BC Forged track wheels were pretty different front to rear.

With those measurements, personally, I'd call up someone like Summit Racing for selection. General rule of thumb is 1.5 times diameter (so 3/4") of engagement, but nothing wrong with 2x or more. The vendor can hopefully also confirm the lug socket will fit in the wheel and not mar up the finish, or suggest a different socket.

Thanks Rick, that all makes sense. It's funny you mentioned BC Forged, they were my second option if the Forgestars fell through.

Whenever I ask a question like this on the forum I like to circle back with my final solution. For closure on this subject I ordered these:

I measured my studs with the wheels on and had right at an inch of stud protruding. These are 1 3/8" overall length closed wheel nuts and I opted for the splined versions.

Great choice, Tim. Did you happen to look at the price of the lug nuts Forgestar is offering?

Luckily, no! That's just a bit outside the realm of any reality I live in.
