View Full Version : How long does it typically take to get wheels/tires from FF?

I ordered my mkIV kit in June, 2025, and took delivery in July, 2025. To date, I still don't have wheels and tires I ordered through FF. I ordered 17" Halibrand wheels with tires. Six months seems excessive to me, but is this normal?
I contacted FF before the holidays and they told me I am on a list once they get a delivery from their supplier, but they couldn't even give me a timeline for that.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I know they shipped a bunch before the holiday. Maybe yours too. Look on the bright side, if you dont need them, your tires will be that much newer.
I keep a set of 4 spare tires and wheels to roll the car on until the actual ones are needed. Get a cheap set of junkyard mustang wheels.

Wheels have been an on and off issue for nearly as long as I've been following FF. They are imported (i think most know that) and a rather complicated path. Used to go through a finishing center in Texas. Don't know if that's still the case. But it's complicated enough that I can understand why they can't give you a definite timeline. I know that's not a great answer. But to your specific question, there isn't a "typical" time. It varies a lot. For my Mk5 Anniversary build, the wheels were some months after kit delivery. Still in the boxes though. Not ready for them yet.

What did Factory Five tell you?

Rich,

I was told my name is on a list for the next shipment. But that was a while ago now.
