Ron Francis Turn signal switch

I am running a Ron Francis turn-signal toggle switch to match the other plain toggles on my dash. One of the terminals is labeled "brake switch, purple." I asked RF about this, and they said to run a jumper wire from the brake switch to the toggle switch. When i do this i dont have hazards or rear brake lights. If i disconnect the jumper wire, the brake lights and hazards work correctly, but i loose turn signals. Thoughts on this? Diode on the jumper wire, maybe? I've seen other pictures of this switch with the purple brake wire connected to the toggle, but I am not sure where in the harness this would come from. Thanks for the help!

I had a similar issue which ended up in checking the connections on my hazard and bright/normal headlight switch. I can’t remember off the top of my head which one (maybe bright)—one has two connections on a three post switch. I swapped the connection and it fixed my problem. I’m sure you will get better more detailed responses than mine, but this was suggested to me as a starting point (along with making sure you have proper grounds).
