Was going to post this in the region area but since its two separate locations chose here. I hope that's ok.

Does anyone have a completed or mostly completed Coupe near any of these areas? I'd very much appreciate an opportunity to see one and possibly sit in one in person. People I know only have Cobras and before I drop $30+k on a kit next year I want to be positive of my choice.

I'll be in the Fishkill NY area Dec 20th through the 27th with some time on the 20th through 23rd, and 26th to meet up.

I live next to Raleigh NC and take a trip to the south east or Charlotte about every other month.

I am in Marvin, NC outside Charlotte and will be drivable in the next month. PM me if you would like to see it.

I'm in Mechanicville, NY (just north of Albany) if you want to take a road trip! Trying to get in and out of one and hearing it run, before you drop your cash, is an excellent idea and one I recommend strongly!

Scott was kind enough to show off his car and give my family rides.
Well worth the trip if you can make it work. Good luck!

Well I took Namrups (Scott) up on his offer and took a visit to him before Christmas. He was nice enough to spend about 2 hours talking to me about his build and put the tires on for a quick cruise despite it being in the 30s/40s. Really appreciate the time spent Scott and its a beautiful car!

While I love the look of the car and don't believe it's out of reach for me to build I do need to put some more though into the space available in the cockpit. Pictures don't do it quite enough justice how tight it really is. Not a deal breaker but its not something I think I fully appreciated or understood until climbing in and out of Scott's. If that was all I had walked away with from the visit than it was fully worth the 2 hour drive each way.

I'm glad you made it there to see the car in person, he really is a generous host.

You are correct, the scale and proportions of the car just don't translate in pictures. But once you've wrestled your body in through that door opening it all starts to make sense.

Good luck whatever you decide!

Getting in and out of these cars is something you learn and get better at after a few times. It is for sure not like any normal street car and you have to decide if it is for you. i have had my Gen 3 coupe #16 on the road since 2018 and it is one of the coolest cars.

I really enjoyed our visit. The offer stands for anyone interested, to come check out the car. It can be an eye opener. I highly reccommend anyone thinking about building one to find one near you to see, get in and out of and to ride in. Spending your money on something that you find out you dont like is a waste.

I fully agree with David. At 73 years old, getting in and out is not getting any easier, but after having gotten used to it I do have to say the fun of driving it, and showing it off, far outweigh's the challenge! Besides it gives me a reason to keep limber!:p
