Looking at fuel cell options and I came across a company who makes a very affordable cell for the roadster, Boyd Welding custom fuel tanks. Wondering if anyone has dropped on in a coupe, or if the common assumption is that if it fits a roadster, it will fit a coupe. At under 600, set up for the aeromotive pump I have left over unused from my ZL1 it looks like a great deal!

I have been corrected. I'll just clean this up.

Operating from memory, but I believe the Gen 3 Coupe uses the stock 2015 Mustang fuel tank. If that fuel cell fits a 2015 Mustang, then it should work in the Gene 3 Coupe.

If I made an error, I am sure someone will be along to correct it.

everything ive read says the fuel tank from an 87-93 mustang works, and the only components that is used from the 15' mustang are IRS components..The description of the MK4 (the fuel cell in question is marketed for the MK4 roadster) also says 87-93 mustang fuel tank.

Im sure if I buy this thing, ill be stuck with it if it does not fit..

The Coupe uses a Fox or SN95 tank, same as the roadster.

While the Coupe and the roadster both take the OEM tank from the 87-93 Mustang, the manufaturer of the fuel cell may be building it to a different specification than the OEM tank. It might be worthwhile to contact the manufacturer to ask about specifications and mounting instructions. I seem to recall this subject coming up some time ago and a manufacturer in question not committing to an assurance that its cell would fit both cars. But possibly FFR is familiar with the cell and can help you on this question. I built my Gen I twenty-two years ago and over the years have found the factory to be extremely generous with free information
