I've seen three or four posts for Mark IV where the builders had installed the Cubby and it caused initial fitment issues when installing the body. In these builds it looks like the fix is to cut down the top of the rear wall of the cubby. I was thinking there might be a way to figure this out prior to putting the body on.
1. With my body on the buck I measured from the floor to the underside of the body just after lip of the cockpit. Where I expect the body to sit on the chassis.
2. I marked on the floor the location.
3. I measure how far back I installed the rear wall of the cubby on the chassis. 8 inches behind the rear cockpit wall.
4. I measured 8 inches back from the mark on the floor
5. I measured to the floor to underside of the body at the 8 inch back mark on the floor trying to keep my tape at a 90 to the floor
6. I calculated the difference. About 1 inch in my case
7. Then I measured the bottom of the trunk to the tops of the cockpit wall and rear Breeze Cubby wall.
8. Then I calculated the difference at 1/4 inch.
So just getting a temperature check. Would it make sense to cut the cubby wall down 3/4 inch prior to trying to fitting the body? I know I'm probably going to have to take the body on and off to make some adjustments but if I reduce that it would be nice
