TKX 289 shifter lever - which length did you use?

Hey guys,

I'm going to replace the shifter lever that came with my 289 kit with one of the repro 289 levers that are out there - direct bolt-on to my TKX. There are two different lengths available - 5.5" and 6.75". I assumed I'd go with the shorter
one but thought it would help to check what you guys went with. For all I know the short one is just too short ;)

Rob, I went with the 5.5" handle on my T5 transmission, but I feel it is too short. It will work just fine, but I believe the taller handle would look better. Glad you asked this question. I'm hoping some guys with completed cars will chime in with which length they used.

I went with the 5.5” as well and it’s almost too short with the TKX front shift.

Guys,

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I opted to order the 6.75" shift handle. It's amazing how much they get for it ($173 plus tax and shipping) but it's kind of a must-have for me ;)
