As many know, like fender liners which I made myself, shipping makes purchasing one of these one piece aluminum rad shrouds a non-starter.
Anyone have a CAD file or PDF they care to share to cut from, short of going old-school and cutting a template and test fitting ☺️?

Thanks in advance

I can make you a paper template from mine, now that Mike is out of the biz. I can do it this weekend and drop it in the mail. Low tech, but it'll work.

We sell a cardboard template for the nose aluminum. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.809200917881421&type=3 We get $30 for the template and it ships for about $10. We include a list of all of the parts needed (including the size for the aluminum panel) so you can complete the install.

I actually have a brand new never used aluminum shroud. I could trace out line if you need me too. I never used my shroud, it’s still in original box.

Thank you so much.
Gbranham (Greg) above there is going to hook me up. If that changes I may take you up on that.
Out of curiosity why didn’t you use it?
Also wondering if this is a “body-off” or “body-on” install.

Doc,
It can only be installed with the body on. You can expect to do some trimming to match the radiator angle.

I bought a second on to use on a kit I planned to buy from local guy, but decided to just use what came with the kit. He decided in the end to keep his car and try and finish it. I just kept shroud thinking I would eventually use it on another kit. As I said I just purchased a MKV, not sure it will fit.

It won't.

Any recommendations on technique installing?

Basically fold the wings in and stuff it in the nose. Then allow it to spring open and it sits there under some tension.

And beat the heck out of your radiator fins in the process. I tried mine several times snd gave up. Had to spend quite a bit of time straightening radiator fins. Hoping Kleiner can help.

That's what I did. Have the radiator protector on while you fit it up and you won't have to worry about the radiator fins.

Yup, this. I don't know why I didn't do this when I tried fitting it. I guess I assumed it would fit in fairly easily.

I checked your YouTube channel and could not find the video - can you point me in the right direction?

Reposted from a similar thread; Here's how I made my own lower rad shroud. You can check my build threads to see how I made upper shrouds as well. Here ya go:

I ended up using the FFR pieces, trimmed to fit, but didn't like the overall result so I ended up using them as a backer support for a new wrap-around lower shroud:

Powdercoated:

Then I made paper templates:

https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=46942&d=1446049312

Which I then used to make a galvanized steel template:

https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=47280&d=1446782277

Which I then used to make the final shape out of stainless steel. Added some bling...:

Rolled it into a ball to get through the opening...

https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=48692&d=1450450515

..and installed:

A piece of nomex covering the radiator for protection (not shown) completed the lower rad treatment.
