Hey guys,

This might already be common knowledge but Mike at Replicaparts.com is no longer making roadster parts (and I'm assuming Type 65 as well). I reached out to him yesterday about some parts I needed and he replied this morning with this information. Sigh...

That is correct. He let this be known a couple of months ago. Unfortunate for sure.

Unfortunate. Is one of the other vendors going to pick up some of the parts? When I was ready I was going to order the seat belt bezels and a few other items.

Thanks, Andrew

Things like that are easy to 3D print from aluminum and polish up yourself.

This is before polish.

Due to many factors, it made no sense to continue selling parts. First and foremost a lot of that credit goes to FFR for improving and changing there kits over the years making my parts obsolete. Back in the day I used to sell about 15 -20 pedal boxes a month. Once they came out with the complete kit I sold almost none. The aluminum nose piece became so expensive to make and ship that it just wasn't worth it anymore. I was losing about $15.00 on every one. Part of that was my fault. I haven't raised most of my prices in 20 years.
Also I have become so busy building cars that I just don't have time to make and ship parts. I have 8 cars in my shop right now and 2 more waiting at Factory five.
Sorry for any inconvenience but it had to be done.

Thanks Mike - totally understand. I'm glad to hear that you're still engaged in this space with the roadster builds.

Yes, thank you Mike. Your pricing and product really hit the mark and pricing was generous of you. For me it is your trust that I will always remember - you would send parts out before the check even arrived to you. Thank you for your trust!

I imagine a number of vendors have been impacted by FFR's evolution. I was looking back for the VPM product page for sway bar instructions and saw the website is no longer licensed: https://www.vintageperformancemotorcars.com/lander?oref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ffcars.com%2F.

G'day Mike,

A personal thanks for the range of products you have made. I remember receiving my order and being impressed by the quality of finish and clearly the value for money. Please be proud that your parts are fitted to cars on the other side of the world.

Cheers,

Nige
