Sounds more dramatic than it is.

My question is what the tried and true methods are for touching up the inevitable abrasions and contusions that the frame powdercoat suffers during the build.

Yes; I removed the back aluminum from the coupe today to put in the rear end and the suspension.
Yes; I taped and padded everything is sight.
No; it still didn't prevent some minor scrapes.
Yes; that sucker is going to be bifurcated before it goes back in there. It's got to be less work and less dangerous to deal with it in two or more pieces.

Just use a quality touch up paint. Since you live in a damp environment, you might want to start with a rust converter like Extend or POR-15

Yes , cut my rear floor to got some molding from Home- Depot to join the two in the middle also lets you fit the sides better, as fro the powder coating depend were in the places not that visible I just sprayed some high gloss paint turned out better than to use a paint brush on each scrach and looked better to.

A can of "Chassis Black" paint matches up real well.

Also Rustoleum Exoxy Appliance Black is fantastic match for gloss and color. I get it at Home Depot.

Thanks for the good information. In my climate, plastic will rust so covering up the bare metal is a must. I should probably just buy a vat of something and dip the whole thing once a month.
