As I await the delivery of my MK5 I was going to purchase the Breeze fan shroud. I am up in Vancouver BC, Mike Forte has put together BP 347 with a ProFlo 4 to power my roadster. 90 degree days are rare but not unheard of. Is the stock Maradyne M166K going to be good enough or should I upgrade to the Flex-Wave?

I'm using the kit-supplied fan with all the Breeze radiator bits on my 427 with ProFlo4. I stress-tested it in my driveway this summer in 95 degree weather, and 800 miles later, it keeps the engine cool. A lot of folks say the fan is loud, and you can definitely hear it at idle, but driving down the road, I don't hear it. Doesn't bother me enough to swap it.

Excellent! Thanks for the feedback, I'll stick with the FFR fan then. Wow I saved some money :D

Also, the M166K fan draws about ~18A at peak, so you can replace the RF-provided 30A fuse with a 20A.
