Does anyone have a copy of, or link to, a Holley detailed manual for the Sniper 2 with the 16 pin connector and 6-pin I/O harness? Info supplied with the BP347 indicates "Ready to Run distributor with ignition coil". Copies of the detailed manual that I can find in the forum and on Holley's website all focus on harnesses with 10 and 7 pin connectors. I'd like to have the manual specific to what I have. I can find one that refers to the Holley Stealth that makes reference to the 16pin connector.

My guess is that Holley now supplies this main 16 pin harness with a 6 pin I/O for all ignition configurations since the Quick start Guide shows how to apply it to all of their ignition systems.

I'll call Holley on Monday as well and share what I learn.

Any feedback on what I'm looking for or my assumption on the multi-use harness would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

No, I have the quick start guide. In the forum, folks have referred to a detailed Holley manual that's 70+ pages. I have found a couple of those, but they seem to be older, referring to 10 and 7 pin connectors. Thank you for sending the link though.

I pulled the rear harness back out of the car and opened it up completely on the bench to make several changes; blue wire from Holley EFI to fuel pump, repurpose fuel pump wire to seat heaters, repurpose e-speed wiring to neutral interlock, add trunk lighting, and add reverse light. Still need to sort out the ground side of the inertia switch, wiring the neutral in series with the clutch safety switch (or maybe eliminate the clutch switch - not thrilled with that switch), and how the RF fuel pump relay now plays into the Holley control.

I also opened up the Holley harness, mostly to change how various wires come out of it, to better align with my physical layout. I think the only remaining item there is confirming that the yellow wire goes to coil (-) for my ignition configuration. Quick start guide isn't 100% clear on that (for me at least). I'm also thinking that I might not use the smaller Holley I/O harness since the only wire I'd be using out of that is for fan control. It seems to make more sense to me to de-pin that wire from the main harness connector and make the tie there.

I'm a complete rookie at the wiring so please weigh-in if it sounds like I've done or will do something I'll regret later.

Thanks again.

The early Snipers had 7-pin and 10-pin connectors. See here: 199r11322.pdf https://share.google/3nrS3NQZdt6ph7xfp

That manual won't apply to the Sniper 2.

That's the detailed manual that I was able to locate. Did they produce something similar for the new harness with the 16pin main connector and 6 pin I/O? I haven't been able to find one.

Thanks,

Pat

https://www.holley.com/blog/post/holley_sniper_2_efi_your_complete_installation_gui de/ there's a lot of info here, but most is in a video. opening "help" in Sniper2 software gives a lot of data on the software, but nothing on wiring.

Quick start manual gives the 16 pin pinouts, and the 6 pin I/O pinouts. I guess I'm missing exactly what you are looking for.

Thank you. The videos are well worth watching.

I'm coming to the conclusion that they haven't updated the manual for the new configuration. I'll call them tomorrow to confirm.

Heard back from Holley. They sent me another copy of the Quick Start Guide that I shared with them, as something I already had. They indicated there is no detailed manual for the Sniper2 with the 16 pin harness. Seem unlikely but that's what they said.

Did someone say proflow...

Definitely a big step up from the Sniper.

What exactly is a "detailed manual" you need? The Quick Start Guide shows you what you need to connect. You should install the software on a PC so you can do the tuning. The wizard might get you going, but to do it right, use the software to tune it.

I've stopped looking, but for bobl and weendoggy, the detailed manual that I was asking about is a 70+ page manual that Holley produced for the previous version of the Sniper. It has a lot of great info, much of which applies to the Sniper2. This manual references the previous version of the harness and I just assumed that Holley had an updated version for the 16/6 pin harness configuration. I'm guessing that they do but the person that replied to my inquiry didn't appear to read what I sent and just me back the same thing I sent them. Here's a link to the old 75 page manual.

Thanks weendoggy. I think you might have the same one that I have already (the one in the link above). I'll check it out though. Will send you a PM with my email.
