I have an early MK5 frame (pre-battery area re-do, a Coyote, and the power brakes canister.
My induction parts are the silicon elbow, the induction tube, and the red conical filter.
I installed the components as depicted in several pix and drawings but when I took the body and the chassis to the (experienced) paint shop, they advised me that the current setup would conflict with either the gas shock of the hood, would not fit in the space of the frame members, or above the steering linkage. They believe a component change is going to be necessary to get everything to fit.
I know that there are completed setups out there with similar components.
Can someone please share by ideas or pix of how you accomplished the induction system setup? Thanks in advance.

I dont have any pics for you but I used this air cleaner and it fits. I am not happy with it but for right now it was the only solution I could find. ( courtesy of Ron Everitt)

Thanks Michael. Definitely less surface area than the original, but fitment is what we need.
