Think I'm giving up on EFI & going to carb. I've scanned as many articles & discussions on the subject as I can so I pretty much know what's involved & somewhat of a direction to go as far as parts. My car came with the Ron Francis chassis harness & the RJM EFI harness. It's been a minute or two since I installed everything so I've been going through the wiring instructions and diagrams for each. The RJM harness had it's own circuit for the fuel pump (relay, inertia switch, fuse, etc) & spliced into the RF power wire going to the fuel pump. The RF fuel pump circuit was disabled by pulling the fuse for the fuel pump (even the relay was pulled in the fuse panel in my harness).
I assume that those of you who have done the conversion & have the Ron Francis harness were able to utilize the fuel pump circuit in the RF harness without too much trouble? If not, what did you do as an alternative?
Also, I'm thinking of using a Duraspark Blue Grommet module & a distributor for a 1985 5.0 GT with 5 speed. There are several Durasparks offered on Amazon at a discount price. Has anyone used one of these and are any of these worth buying?
Thanks
