Sometimes stuff just works out. I was trying to figure out how I would install the gas tank working by myself. Then I realized I have a motorcycle lift in my shop. i don't know why I still have it since it was useless for my chopper or Buell motorcycles. You could not have designed a better tool for raising the tank up. I did have to open up the bolt holes in the straps, as others have said.

Before installing the tank, I installed the vent, the Holley 525LPH pump, and the tank level sender. I am using 8AN PTFE hose because the Godzilla motor will be a thirsty beast. One trick I remember from my days working on Jaguars and trying to make them not leak is to use Crisco as a lubricant on rubber parts. Petroleum products can soak into the rubber and degrade it. On a side note....don't use Crisco in the bedroom........its shortening (rimshot).

Another tip is for some touch-up paint I found. I have a black powder-coated frame, and they do get scuffed here and there during construction. This stuff comes in a cool little pen and brush. It is made for wheels so thick and tough enough for touching up the powder-coated frame. I got it on Amazon or Ebay.
